Ashtanga is getting mainstream attention today is a fast-paced series of sequential postures practiced by yoga master K. Pattabhi Jois, who lives in Mysore, India. Today, yogis continue to spread Jois's teachings worldwide, making it one of the most popular schools of yoga around. This class coordinates specific posture sequencing with breathing to build heat in the body.

Ashtanga Basics does traditional Sun Salutations A & B followed by selected postures from the Primary Series. This class strengthens concentration and creates an awareness of the "un-asana" - the transition between the postures.

Beginner Yoga is an ideal way to explore a new yoga practice. In a safe, supportive environment, you'll learn how to listen to your body's needs and to respect its limitations through gentle stretching. You'll discover the basics of a solid practice, including insight into the mind/body/spirit relationship, breathing techniques to relax and rejuvenate, proper alignment of the yoga postures and a sequence of poses to practice at home or on the road.

Community Yoga is a free weekly class led by various instructors. Content will vary by instructor, but will always be geared toward all levels of experience.

Dynamic Hatha consists of dynamic Yoga postures to promote optimum physical and psychological well-being. In this challenging class, students will experience a relaxed and poised mind after the class.

Flow Yoga, also referred to as vinyasa, focuses on integration of creative posture sequencing, movement, strength, breath and attention to alignment of the body and mind. All levels are welcome, but it is advised to be familiar with sun salutes.

Focus Yoga is a class for mixed levels and abilities that focuses on a different aspect of the practice each week, i.e. hip openers, upper body, balancing postures, etc. Call or check the website for the concentration of the week.

Foundations is a class for mixed levels and abilities that focuses on different groups of poses each week. Stability will be developed on the path to grounding properly in the poses. This foundation will lend to openings and experiences along the way.

Hot Asana is for those who wish to go deeper into poses by warming and detoxifying their body at the same time. Hot Yoga will go through the classic hatha yoga postures in a room heated to 100+ degrees. This class is Please bring a large beach towel to this class! This class runs 90 minutes and is followed by a tea get together.

Intro to Yoga is for those who are brand new to yoga. This class introduces yoga history, philosphy and basic poses the first Saturday of each month, posture alignment on the second Saturday of each month, breathing and movement the third Saturday of each month, and a summary plus stress reduction and centering the fourth Saturday of each month. It's a great primer to those interested in going to beginner classes.

Kids Yoga will introduce children to yoga basics, improving strength, balance, flexibility and promoting concentration and self-esteem. Kids should be between age 7 and 11. Kids may attend regular yoga classes at age 12 if accompanied by a parent and at age 16 with a parent's signature.

Lunch Hour Yoga is a fifty-minute class for those who want to practice mid-day but are on a tight schedule. All levels welcome.

PowerAlign is an Iyengar style class. It coordinates proper body alignment with breath and attention to detail. In the postures we uncover the essence of who we truly are and observe our own meditation in motion. This class is geared toward experienced practitioners that seek a challenging class. PowerAlign also includes inversions. .

Yoga 101 is an introductory class, focusing on the very basics of yoga postures, philosophy, history and application. All levels are welcome.
