The Yoga Company welcomes New School Aikido every Monday and Wednesday nights at 830PM. Classes are led by Jim Berkheimer, second degree black belt and certified instructor who has been training with fifth degree black belt Sensei Dan Matlock at New School Aikido since 1996. Mr. Berkheimer has an extensive teaching background, is a Master Reiki Practitioner, holds a BA in psychology from UC Berkeley, and has done graduate studies in counseling at Cal State Hayward. His years of experience as a paramedic and as a reserve police officer lend real-life experience to self-defense training. His teaching style is relaxed, encouraging, challenging and fun.
